My responsibilities:
Oversees and executes end-to-end Change Management activities, ensuring the quality, planning, approval and controlled implementation of changes with minimal disruption to IT services/products, in alignment with defined processes and stakeholder requirements.
Change Management Process & Key Activities
- Ensuring quality of change requests, including formal review, documentation and compliance with defined standards
- Controlling and ensuring the full lifecycle of changes from creation to closure
- Performing initial assessment (categorisation, estimation), including impact, risk and resource analysis for IT services/products
- Planning and scheduling changes in coordination with stakeholders, ensuring no conflicts with other changes or events
- Managing and maintaining the overall change schedule and implementation windows
- Ensuring all changes gain relevant approvals (e.g. Change Manager, CAB, eCAB, Application/NIT Owners)
- Authorising or rejecting change requests and reviewing emergency and standard changes (including Standard Change Catalogue inclusion)
- Organising, coordinating and representing changes in CAB/GCAB meetings; aligning cross-team or cross-unit changes
- Communicating CAB decisions and providing stakeholders with all necessary information and status updates
- Coordinating implementation, testing and rollback of changes; ensuring execution within the planned window
- Coordinating and managing emergency changes
- Closing changes with proper documentation and closure notes
Accountabilities:
- Implementation and enforcement of quality gates for all changes and ensuring overall change quality
- Ensuring agreement of impacted groups, priorities and resource availability
- Decision-making on change authorisation in alignment with stakeholders (e.g. release management, change initiator)
- Facilitating communication between stakeholders, Change Managers and involved parties
- Tracking, reporting and resolving issues or conflicts related to the change process
- Performing post implementation reviews, KPI reviews and documenting lessons learned, especially for unsuccessful changes
- Ensuring the Change Management process is fully completed and changes are deployed within the scheduled window
The knowledge I own:
- Excellent English (C2) language skills (knowledge of German is an advantage)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience and professional knowledge of Configuration (CMDB) Management
- ITIL4 certificate is an advantage.
- Proactive attitude and holistic view of processes
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with customer-oriented attitude
