Job Summary
We’re looking for an Agile Expert Team Leader to join a role, whose day-to-day focus can vary depending on the current assignment. In practice, the work draws on three directions: supporting a Product Line’s agile maturity and ways of working, facilitating scaled agile events across teams, and providing dedicated Scrum Master support to product teams. On top of this, you will lead and develop a team of Agile Experts / Scrum Masters, ensuring they can deliver high-quality support to their product teams and the wider organisation.
My Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Agile Experts / Scrum Masters: setting clear objectives, conducting regular 1-2-1 sessions, giving direct feedback, supporting personal development plans, fostering team cohesion and handling challenges.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing and community-building within the Agile Expert team (best practices, retro templates, training materials), supporting hiring and onboarding, and balancing team capacity and workload across product teams.
- Creating a safe environment for learning, experimentation and continuous improvement within the Agile Expert team, encouraging collaboration, psychological safety and open feedback.
- Using quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to assess the performance and development needs of Agile Experts / Scrum Masters, and driving targeted improvement actions at team and Product Line level.
- Representing the Agile Expert team towards Product Line leadership and other stakeholders, managing expectations, priorities and escalations, and ensuring the team’s voice is heard in decision-making.
- Contributing to the definition and refinement of career paths, role descriptions and feedback processes for Agile Experts / Scrum Masters, aligning them with organisational goals and agile values.
- Managing the impediment backlog together with the Product Line’s Scrum Masters and ensuring that issues are transparently tracked, prioritised and followed up until resolved.
- Planning and facilitating scaled agile events such as PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt workshops, and coordinating with colleagues who facilitate equivalent events across the organisation.
- Ensuring alignment between scaled events, team-level practices and the Target Operating Model of our company, and contributing to its ongoing development based on practical experience.
- Coaching and mentoring Product Owners and Product Line Owners on agile values and practical ways of working, acting as an internal consultant and independent moderator in critical discussions.
- Supporting Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritisation and sprint goals, and serving them as a key partner in improving product delivery and team effectiveness.
- Facilitating scrum and other key events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, Backlog Refinement) and ensuring consistent, high-quality agile practices across teams.
The knowledge I own
- Fluent English language skills
- Solid understanding of Scrum and Kanban fundamentals
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to influence people and shape decisions across the organisation
- Coaching mindset, with the ability to read where a team or individual stands in their agile maturity
- Comfortable interpreting metrics and qualitative signals to inform decisions
- Comfortable giving direct feedback and open to receiving it
- Product team support (supports team cohesion, detects dysfunctions, supports self-management, serving the Product Owner)
- Solution focused leadership
- Reforming the processes
The offer that would convince me:
- Very strong Agile expert community where people help each other daily and share best practices, retro templates, conduct trainings for the teams of each other
- Professional leaders who have deep experience in agile roles so can help you with daily challenges and not just support emotionally
- Career path and feedback systems tailored to the Agile expert role, so you regularly get qualitative and quantitative feedback from teams, peers and leads
- No-nonsense focused Agile work where you can concentrate on what really matters: improving team effectiveness
- Flexible working hours with home office possibility
- Regular salary increases, we follow the inflation and reward loyalty
