My responsibilities:

As Business Analyst - Stores (Checkout / Till Systems), you act as the link between business and technology for store checkout processes. You analyze business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and support delivery of stable, efficient, and user-focused till solutions across stores. You work closely with Store Operations, IT, Finance, and Service Desk/Support teams to improve system-supported store execution and drive continuous process optimization.

 

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for checkout/till processes and related store procedures.
  • Map current-state and target-state processes for checkout journeys and identify opportunities for optimization and harmonization.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Facilitate alignment between Store Operations, IT, Finance, and support teams to ensure shared understanding of priorities and solutions.
  • Support release readiness by validating requirement completeness, business impact, and operational preparedness.
  • Contribute to rollout activities from pilot to wider store adoption, including communication, process clarification, and hypercare support.
  • Track and interpret key operational indicators to support data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across business and technical stakeholders.

The knowledge I own:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in retail, store systems, or comparable operational environments.
  • Proven experience in requirements engineering across multiple software delivery initiatives.
  • Practical experience with business process analysis, process mapping, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in agile or hybrid delivery setups.
  • Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycle and requirements lifecycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to translate complex operational topics into clear and actionable requirements.
  • Confident stakeholder management across business, operations, and technical teams.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Quality-driven approach to documentation, testing support, and release readiness.
  • KPI and reporting mindset with focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Ownership mentality and ability to drive topics independently in a collaborative environment. 
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with checkout, POS, till, or store-front operational systems.
  • Experience supporting incident/problem management and service improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration and backlog management tools.
  • Experience with rollout coordination in distributed store environments.
  • Exposure to international retail operations.
