My responsibilities:

  • Provide third-level operational support for Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments for Aldi Süd Group countries globally
  • Analysis, classification and resolution of system failures  
  • Handling incidents, requests, changes and problems, and provide support during major incidents
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mail flow, performance, and availability issues
  • Support and maintain related messaging infrastructure: email encryption, archiving solutions, SMTP relays
  • Participate in the design and implementation of improvements and migrations (e.g., mail flow to cloud, archiving transitions)
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and other infrastructure teams on cross-platform initiatives and liase with 3rd party vendors
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps; contribute to knowledge base

The knowledge I own:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online (M365) and on-premises Exchange Server 
  • Experience with other relevant products can be an advantage (Teams, Sharepoint, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, PKI and other M365 Apps) 
  • Setup and maintenance experience with mail flow, SMTP, TLS, transport rules, connectors, email encryption, and RBAC. 
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for Exchange and M365 automation. 
  • Experience with mail gateways (email security and S/MIME encryption) is an advantage. 
  • Understanding of email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). 
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender, DLP, eDiscovery, and retention policies. 
  • Familiarity with archiving platforms is an advantage 
  • Relevant ITIL or Microsoft certifications are an advantage. 
  • Strong English skills, German knowledge is an advantage
