Medior Full Stack Developer - Java, TypeScript

My responsibilities:

SCOPE:

• Contribute to the technical development and reliable operation of the internally developed FinOps Toolbox, supporting cost transparency, cost allocation, optimization and financial governance across the cloud environment  
• Support the integration, processing and presentation of cloud cost and usage data to enable greater cost transparency and data-driven decision-making  
• Collaborate closely with FinOps Consultants, Product Owners, cloud platform teams and other technical and business stakeholders
• Contribute ideas and technical expertise to the continuous development of the product, its architecture and the associated development and operational processes 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop and enhance full-stack features covering backend services, APIs, databases and modern web-based user interfaces  
• Continuously improve the functionality and usability of the FinOps Toolbox 
• Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable and secure software solutions
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the software lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring and reliable operation 
• Help develop and maintain a microservices-based architecture using container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Contribute to the automation and standardization of the technical infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code approaches and technologies such as Terraform
• Understand stakeholder requirements and turn them into effective product capabilities
• Stay informed about current technology trends and evaluate how relevant developments can be applied to the FinOps Toolbox 

The knowledge I own:

• Professional experience in the development of full-stack web applications  
• An understanding of software architecture, API design and the interaction between frontend, backend and database components  
• Knowledge of software testing strategies, tools and quality assurance practices
• A high level of ownership and the willingness to contribute to both the development and reliable operation of the product 
• Experience working in an agile, interdisciplinary product or development team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a structured and pragmatic way of working
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams 
• Very good written and spoken English skills
  
  

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Backend: Practical experience with Java or Kotlin and the Spring or Spring Boot framework 
• Databases: Sound knowledge of relational databases and SQL, ideally with PostgreSQL 
• Frontend: Experience developing modern frontend applications using React
• Web development: Knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript and common web development concepts 

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms, particularly Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally using Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and modern DevOps tools and practices  
• Knowledge of cloud cost management, FinOps principles or cloud billing data
• Experience developing data-driven applications, dashboards or reporting solutions
• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jira and Confluence.
