How You’ll Make Your Mark

In this position, you’ll…

  • Lead an international team of experts to execute ALDI’s global strategy for modernising its warehouse network
  • Oversee programmes focused on the planning, design, and operation of warehouses for today and the future
  • Continuously drive cost leadership, availability, and sustainability in the design and implementation of warehouse solutions
  • Collaborate with and influence other business functions to maximise warehouse automation and end-to-end supply chain efficiency
  • Act as a leader within the department by developing a high-performing team of specialists
  • Provide guidance and support to both direct and indirect reports across international regions
  • Negotiate contracts exceeding 100 million EUR
  • Develop and implement new processes (for Brick & Mortar as well as eCommerce) based on current industry best practices and future trends
  • Work closely with international departments, national organisations, technology suppliers, and technical planner

Candidate Profile

The requirements for the role are…

  • A university degree in mechanical/industrial engineering, logistics, technology, or supply chain management
  • Extensive professional experience in supply chain management with a focus on warehouse automation, and at least 5 years of leadership experience, ideally in the retail sector
  • Proven experience in the planning and execution of highly complex, multi-temperature automated warehouses
  • Analytical, structured, and results-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with a high level of assertiveness
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools
  • Fluent in business English

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 188.600*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
