How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As a Freight Sourcing Professional, you'll support the operational execution of freight procurement and tender activities
- Your responisibilities include the preparation and maintainance of the tender documentation and management of supplier communication
- You'll support RFQ processes and coordinate bid collection and validation
- You'll track tender progress and ensure timelines and deliverables are met
- You'll prepare procurement reports and support data analysis activities
- You'll maintain procurement databases and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- You'll coordinate internal stakeholders and support alignment across teams
- You'll organise meetings, workshops, and support onboarding of suppliers
- You'll ensure proper documentation and support smooth execution of procurement processes
- You'll participate in operational meetings and support implementation activities
- The role includes international collaboration and you'll travel occasionally within Europe
Candidate Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- As a Freight Sourcing Professional, you have a completed education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field (e.g. apprenticeship or diploma)
- You have around 2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or operational sourcing support
- You posess initial experience in tender support (RFQ/RFI) and supplier coordination
- You have a basic understanding of freight operations and transport procurement processes
- You are detail-oriented with a structured working approach
- You are analytical work and enjoy to work with data and reports
- Ideally, you are experienced with procurement tools or databases
- You feel comfortable working with MS Excel and reporting tools
- Strong coordination and communication skills are your strong points
- Since you will be spending a lot of time in an international environment, you are fluent in English; German is a strong advantage and any other additional European languages are beneficial
