International Produce Buying Expert (f/m/d)
How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- You’ll support in the planning, implementation and optimisation of international supply chain processes in the category of fresh fruit & vegetables
- In this role you’ll work on our European Fresh Produce (fruits and vegetables) Import Hub project
- You’ll play a major role in shaping the future supply chain for fruit and vegetables across all ALDI SÜD countries in Europe
- This includes analysing current processes and data as well as harmonising and developing new ones
- You’ll be responsible for establishing best-practice operational standards to streamline sourcing and logistics
- You’ll cooperate with internal teams, international suppliers, service providers, logistics companies and country organisations
Candidate Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- As a Produce Buying expert, you have completed a university degree, ideally in supply chain management, agricultural sciences or food technology
- You have got experience in the field of purchasing or supply chain processes for imported fruit and vegetables
- You are an expert in handling and processing fresh fruit and vegetables, such as ripening and quality assurance preferably within the retail sector
- You possess strong English language skills
- Reliable, structured and independent describe your way of working
- Your proactive, can-do attitude as well as communication skills are your strong points
- In addition, you are an analytical and solution-oriented thinker

Remuneration
Gross annual salary starting from € 60.900*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
