Supply Chain Expert - Fruits & Vegetables (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • Be an integral part of our European Fresh Produce (fruits and vegetables) Import Hub project
  • You'll shape the future supply chain for fruit and vegetables across all ALDI SÜD countries in Europe
  • Develop and harmonize processes for an efficient fruit and vegetable supply chain
  • Analyze current processes and data to define optimal supply chain strategies
  • Establish best-practice operational standards to streamline sourcing and logistics
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes for fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Collaborate closely with an international team, suppliers, logistics providers, and country organizations

Candidate Profile

The requirements of the role include:

  • A completed university degree, ideally in supply chain management, agricultural sciences or food technology
  • Hands-on experience in supply chain or purchasing processes for imported fruit and vegetables
  • Expertise in handling and processing fresh fruit and vegetables, such as ripening preferably within the retail sector
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex data
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, thriving in dynamic and evolving environments
  • A structured, reliable, and results-driven approach to work
  • Fluency in business English; additional European languages are a plus

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 59.300*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
