Climate Manager (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

 

  • As a Sustainability Manager – Climate, Scope 3 in the international sustainability sector, you will work in an international and interdisciplinary project team
  • You will manage initiatives to support the company’s efforts to achieve Net Zero
  • Oversee a team dedicated to partnering with our suppliers to decarbonize our supply chains 
  • Partner closely with Buying to drive climate action with strategic suppliers with a high focus on dairy and beef
  • Support the ALDI SUD Group in the launch of new technology solutions to support enhanced reporting for Scope 3 
  • Support climate related compliance readiness, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess climate-related risks and opportunities and integration into our business planning and enterprise risk management processes 
  • Coordinate with relevant international and national business units (Buying, Supply Chain Management, IT, etc.) to make progress towards 2030 and 2050 targets

Your Profile

The requirements of the role include:

 

  • As a Sustainability Manager – Climate in the international sustainability sector, you have a degree in economics or sustainability studies
  • You have several years of experience and sound knowledge in the areas of retail, climate strategy, value chain project management or consulting
  • Strong understanding of regenerative agriculture and supplier engagement are part of your core competencies
  • You have first experience in leading a team as well as several years of relevant professional experience in riving climate action
  • Your English skills are very good
  • You are willing to travel abroad

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 104.300,-*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications
