How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

As a Sustainability Manager – Climate, Scope 3 in the international sustainability sector, you will work in an international and interdisciplinary project team
You will manage initiatives to support the company’s efforts to achieve Net Zero
Oversee a team dedicated to partnering with our suppliers to decarbonize our supply chains
Partner closely with Buying to drive climate action with strategic suppliers with a high focus on dairy and beef
Support the ALDI SUD Group in the launch of new technology solutions to support enhanced reporting for Scope 3
Support climate related compliance readiness, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess climate-related risks and opportunities and integration into our business planning and enterprise risk management processes
Coordinate with relevant international and national business units (Buying, Supply Chain Management, IT, etc.) to make progress towards 2030 and 2050 targets

The requirements of the role include:

As a Sustainability Manager – Climate in the international sustainability sector, you have a degree in economics or sustainability studies
You have several years of experience and sound knowledge in the areas of retail, climate strategy, value chain project management or consulting
Strong understanding of regenerative agriculture and supplier engagement are part of your core competencies
You have first experience in leading a team as well as several years of relevant professional experience in riving climate action
Your English skills are very good
You are willing to travel abroad

Gross annual salary starting from € 104.300,-*
