Expert - Sustainable Food Packaging (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • Support the implementation of the international packaging goals of the ALDI SÜD Group in the areas of optimization, packaging recyclability, recycled content and reduction of the of virgin plastic
  • Drive and support the harmonisation and optimisation of current packaging concepts, considering legal developments and sustainability obligations 
  • Focus on food packaging in dairy products, chilled convenience products, fresh meat, fish, frozen food 
  • Communicate and cooperate with packaging suppliers along the packaging value chain 
  • Work very closely with and support the GS and NB purchasing departments, VCO and main food suppliers
  • Focus on PPWR legislation requirements in our area of responsibility
  • Work independently with cross-functional teams on basic tasks is part of your responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with several stakeholders through impactful presentations, and data analyses

Your Profile

The requirements of the role include: 

  • As an expert in sustainable food packaging, you have a degree in packaging engineering, food technology, or materials science with a focus on various food packaging solutions
  • You have 1-3 years of professional experience and expertise in the field of food packaging (dairy products, bakery products, coffee, spreads, bars)
  • Ideally, you have intention to develop on the area of sustainability, packaging, and related EU regulations, legislation
  • You bring analytical mindset, willingness to make impact, do not give up attitude, problem-solving skills
  • You are resourceful and have great communication skills, experienced in Aldi’s stakeholder management

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 54.300*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
