How you’ll make your mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As a Group Fleet & Mobility Manager, you are responsible for the centralisation and optimisation of the Group Company Car Fleet (>4,000 vehicles) with a mandate to shape future mobility offerings
- This involves taking over the centralisation program already initiated, substantiating and executing it (refining and implementing the target operating and governance model and migration plan per country/entity), as well as managing the transformation as a cross-functional project
- You will design and harmonise a group-wide company car policy framework, in alignment with HR/total rewards, tax and works-council requirements in each ALDI SÜD country (Germany, Australia, US, UK, Ireland, China, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, and Switzerland)
- You will establish full total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) transparency, identify and deliver savings through standardisation, pooling, contract renegotiation and demand management
- Your tasks include coordinating RFPs/tenders for leasing, fleet management, insurance/claims, fuel & charging card providers and consolidating the provider landscape; negotiating group framework agreements in close collaboration with Group Procurement (Procurement leads the commercial negotiation, you own the fleet requirements and specifications); and managing and steering external providers
- You will propose vehicle options per user group, incl. the powertrain mix (ICE, BEV, etc.), based on TCO, operational requirements and regulatory outlook; and where EVs are deployed, you will manage charging solutions and reimbursement models; own fleet CO₂ reporting and provide the fleet data required for CSRD/ESG reporting
- Selecting and implementing a group fleet management system, defining master data standards and interfaces (HR, accounting, providers) and building standardised KPI reporting compliment your field of expertise
- In addition, you will ensure group-wide compliance with holder and duty-of-care obligations under applicable local law, together with adequate insurance coverage and internal controls
- As the single point of contact for fleet topics at Group level, you will align with country management, Group Procurement, Finance/Controlling and employee representatives; manage escalations and communicate changes to ~4,000 drivers in a structured way
- Developing concepts for extending the function towards broader mobility benefits interests you
Your profile
The requirements of the role include:
- You have a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or a comparable field. A certified fleet manager qualification is an advantage
- You bring 5+ years of experience in fleet management, mobility services, automotive leasing or category management for vehicle fleets
- You have a proven track record in tendering and negotiating leasing/fleet service contracts and in managing external providers via SLAs and KPIs
- You have experience with centralisation, outsourcing or transformation projects in an international, multi-entity environment and you are able to operate effectively without formal line authority over country organisations
- Strong analytical and commercial skill set sets you apart (TCO modelling, business cases, confident use of Excel/BI tools; experience with fleet management software and telematics data is a plus)
- You possess working knowledge of the regulatory and tax context of company cars (benefit-in-kind taxation, holder liability, insurance) in at least one core ALDI SÜD market
- Interest in the broader corporate mobility agenda (mobility budgets, bike leasing, shared mobility) and the ambition to grow the role beyond the car fleet are a matter of course to you
- You are hands-on, structured, resilient and comfortable driving change against grown local habits, with the diplomacy to keep stakeholders on board
- You are business-fluent in English; any additional language of the ALDI SÜD countries is a plus
