How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As Manager - Packaging Procurement, you will work to develop and implement procurement strategies for packaging materials and equipment that are in line with the company's overall objectives
- You will manage supplier relationships with packaging manufacturers, including sourcing, contract negotiation and monitoring supplier performance to ensure the delivery of quality materials and equipment at competitive prices
- You will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams such as purchasing and corporate responsibility to identify packaging needs and develop solutions to meet requirements
- Analysing market trends and competitive pricing to identify cost saving opportunities and recommend process improvements related to packaging materials are some of your key competencies
- Evaluating supplier proposals and conducting supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, sustainability and other relevant criteria will interest you
- Developing and managing packaging procurement budgets and ensuring that spend remains within budget is part of your responsibilities
- You will develop and implement packaging procurement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Leading and guiding team members, including training, coaching and performance management are part of your responsibilities
- As Packaging Procurement Manager, you are interested in continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the procurement process and implementing changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- You like to keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies related to packaging materials and equipment
Your Profile
The requirments of the role include:
- As Manager - Packaging Procurement you have a university degree
- You have several years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, packaging technology or a related field
- Experience in packaging materials procurement, supplier management and cost reduction initiatives is desirable.
- You have a sound knowledge of packaging materials and equipment
- You are a solution-oriented personality with strong analytical thinking skills
- Communication skills and negotiation skills are your strengths
- You are enthusiastic about leading and motivating a team
- You feel confident in using MS Office
- Your English skills are very good

Remuneration
Gross annual salary starting from € 102.000*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
