How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
• Lead the Global Business Services (GBS) Performance team to facilitate the further development of the GBS organisation and drive significant value creation for Aldi globally
• Develop a small team of Performance Controller to deliver outstanding reporting, planning and benefit tracking capabilities to the rest of the GBS department and stakeholders in the countries and Global Functions
• Design and align with Global Functional Leads on how to identify, track and report progress towards outsourcing, centralisation and continuous improvement targets and goals for their respective function
• Create and deliver a global planning and reporting framework for performance measures of GBS (SLAs – Service Level Agreement and KPIs – Key Performance Indicator) that GBS, countries and functions can use to monitor and steer performance of outsourced or centralized activities
• Create and deliver a consistent national planning and reporting framework that National Finance Teams can use to ensure benefit realisation in their respective countries
• Lead together with Service Tower leads financial and non-financial performance reviews with Board level and International Committee evaluating the daily operation performance and progress, risks and mitigations on outsourcing or centralization activities that are necessary to ensure benefit realisation
• Responsibility to support the evaluation of all new GBS opportunities and produce cost benefit analysis in line with internal controlling and project management requirements
• Manage the budget for the GBS organisation and facilitate the inclusion of costs and benefits into the countries/global budgets
• Explore usage of reporting tools and dashboards to extend and optimise GBS reporting capabilities
• Identify and align financial compliance requirements with key stakeholders such as Group Taxes
Your Profile
The requirments of the role include:
• Completed studies in the field of business administration, economics or related subjects
• 6+ years of work experience in a controlling, commercial or management accounting role
• 3+ years of experience in a direct leadership role
• Service Management or Global Business Service experience would be beneficial (Performance Reporting – SLAs/KPIS)
• Confident interacting with senior management stakeholders and able to present complex financial models in a clear and concise manner to aid decision making
• Experienced in developing reporting concepts, producing business cases and financial models
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently with a high degree of initiative
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a multinational and cross-functional environment
• Advanced Excel skills are a must, PowerPoint skills are of advantage
• Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally and to be part of a new and growing team and the ability to shape the future of the GBS organisation
