Sr. Consultant - Mergers & Acquisitions (f/m/d)
How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As a (Senior) Consultant: Group Mergers & Acquisitions, you will research and prepare strategic, financial and technical assessments as part of ongoing M&A target assessments and work on end-to-end M&A execution
- Drive ALDI Süd’s global expansion efforts
- Assess potential investment opportunities in the all areas of the grocery retail business
- Support M&A Managers along the whole deal process
- Execute global M&A projects and contribute to the deal strategy and tactics
- Perform research & analysis of markets, industries and companies
- Take responsibility for the extraction, transformation, and consolidation of financial and non-financial data from different data sources
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases, including strategic, operational and deal benefit (e.g. synergies) assessments
- Prepare detailed financial models applying different valuation techniques (such as multiples valuation, DCF and others)
- Develop internal strategy & decision-making documents to guide internal decision-making on strategic topics
- Co-ordinate and execute due diligence activities, working with experts from international departments, ALDI countries and external service providers
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders during an M&A process
- Collaborate with a wide range of ALDI colleagues and external stakeholders (including investment banks)

- You are excited about working in all phases of Mergers & Acquisition processes and enjoy in-depth company- and business development-related research of financial and non-financial topics

- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- You have strong analytical skills to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses
- You have the ability to self-direct, analyse and evaluate and form independent judgments, with a
- strong bias towards producing accurate, credible results
- You are highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- You have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- You are commercially savvy with the ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
- You have completed university education, preferably in business administration, finance, engineering or similar
- You have 3-5 years of experience in Controlling, M&A, Business Development, Project Management and/or Corporate Finance and/or have worked for a Big4 company, Investment Bank, Management Consultancy and/or Finance Team
- You have excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of additional language skills (e.g. German or Italian) considered beneficial
- Absolute proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to work across corporate systems (SAP, MS Office, Tableau, and key plug-ins Power BI and ThinkCell) considered a plus

Remuneration
Gross annual salary starting from € 60.900*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
