How you'll Make your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • You'll develop global messaging frameworks and communication toolkits that enable national ALDI markets to communicate sustainability strategy and initiatives consistently and effectively
  • You'll transform complex sustainability topics into clear, compelling and audience-focused content across a range of channels, incl. website, executive messaging, media/NGO enquiries
  • Leading the end-to-end coordination of ALDI’s first International Sustainability Impact Report, steering external creative agencies and coordinating with colleagues across the Sustainability function and wider business to deliver a high-quality publication
  • Support the planning and delivery of key sustainability communication projects, international events and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across Sustainability, Communications, other international functions, and external agencies to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging
  • You'll contribute to the continuous development of ALDI’s sustainability narrative, ensuring communications remain credible, transparent and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, emerging sustainability trends and stakeholder expectations

Your Profile

The requirements of the role include:

  • You spent several years within an in-house communications team or communications agency with some experience in communicating sustainability topics
  • You have experience managing external agencies and coordinating complex communications projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional storytelling, copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics into engaging and accessible communications for different audiences
  • Experience developing corporate reports and global communication toolkits would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of sustainability/ESG topics is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to collaborate effectively across international teams and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, creative and solution-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with content management systems or creative collaboration platforms would be an advantage
  • Fluent in Business-English; good knowledge of German would be an advantage
