Global Packaging Procurement Manager (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • As an International Packaging Procurement Manager, you oversee packaging procurement projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. You conduct research, prepare for contract negotiations, and actively follow up to secure the best outcomes for ALDI
  • Manage supplier relationships with packaging manufacturers, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure delivery of quality materials and equipment at competitive prices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Buying and Corporate Responsibility to identify packaging needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
  • Analyze market trends and competitive pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements related to packaging materials
  • Evaluate supplier proposals to ensure compliance with quality standards, sustainability, and other relevant criteria
  • Develop and manage budgets for packaging procurement activities and ensure that expenditures are within budgetary constraints
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to packaging procurement to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including training, coaching, and performance management
  • Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the procurement process and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to packaging materials and equipment

Your Profile

The requirements of the role include:

  • 5+ years of work experience in procurement, supply chain management, packaging engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in packaging materials sourcing, vendor management, and cost reduction initiatives is highly desirable
  • Deep knowledge of packaging materials and equipment
  • Solution-oriented personality with pronounced analytical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Enjoy leading and motivating a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluency in English

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 104.300*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
