Packaging Specialist - Food (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

In this position, you’ll…

  • Support the implementation of ALDI SOUTH Group’s International Packaging targets (recyclability, recycled content, virgin plastic reduction)
  • Communicate and collaborate with packaging suppliers along the packaging value chain 
  • Work closely with buying teams and product suppliers to support the implementation of sustainable packaging for Food products (such as Dairy, Chilled Convenience, Fresh Meat, Bakery, Coffee, Spreads, Cereals)
  • Provide technical insight and identify available recyclable packaging solution for Food products
  • Support harmonization and optimization of product packaging under consideration of regulatory developments and sustainability commitments focusing on Food packaging
  • Co-ordinate and interact independently in basic work with cross functional teams
  • Understand and analyze packaging data and specifications 
  • Create presentations

Candidate Profile

The requirements for the role are...

  • Completed studies in engineering, food technology, material science, economy or similar preferably with focus on packaging 
  • Experience and technical knowledge in food packaging (Dairy, Chilled Convenience, Fresh Meat, Bakery, Coffee, Spreads, Cereals) is a must
  • Awareness of primary food packaging materials and packaging regulations
  • Resourceful, good communication, problem solving and co-ordination skills
  • Project management skills and experience on stakeholder management
  • International experience and intercultural sensitivity
  • Advanced in MS Office applications
  • Business-fluent English skills

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 49,200*

*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
