How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- In this role, you will own and drive global procurement activities across freight, warehouse automation, and supply chain
- You will enhance and implement strategies to manage and continuously improve international purchasing activities and be responsible for international tenders for all ALDI SÜD countries
- Additionally, you will lead strategic projects for the department, with frequent exposure to Senior Management
- You will conduct financial analysis and monitoring for projects, including cost estimation and budget development and ensure projects are executed in accordance with established timelines and objectives
- You will be the key contact person for international stakeholders in case of any escalations regarding your topics
- You will lead and coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional optimisation initiatives
- You will lead high stakes negotiations on contracts exceeding €200M+
- Besides that, you will successfully lead, train, and develop a diverse team within the ALDI Süd Holding
Your Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- You have a university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar
- You have several years of professional experience in international strategic sourcing projects and contract negotiations
- Additionally, you are experienced in procurement of freight, intralogistics technology and/or supply chain consultancy
- You have a deep understanding of intralogistics technologies (e.g. warehouse automation)
- You are confident using MS Office
- You are fluent in English and German (C1 Level), both written and verbal
- You have proven leadership skills and experience in developing teams
- You possess a high level of commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills as well as strategic thinking and decision making
- You possess the ability to present and lead key concepts to senior management to drive savings and / or strategic initiatives relevant to procurement
- Excellent communication, and influencing skills with a high level of assertiveness are your strong parts
- You thrive in an international, fast paced environment and are willing to travel
