Procurement Expert - SCM & Warehouse (f/m/d)

How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • As Procurement Expert you’ll develop the negotiation strategy and lead the negotiation process on projects exceeding €100 million
  • You’ll work closely with international departments, national organisations, technology suppliers, and external consultants on Warehouse Automation and Supply Chain projects
  • Your responsibilities include evaluating tender documents and contracts of suppliers and service Providers
  • You’ll negotiate key commercial and legal terms within contracts
  • In this role you’ll develop new procurement strategies and present them to the wider business
  • This involves understanding the supplier base and capabilities as well as internal policies and guidelines in order to consult effectively
  • You’ll consult on existing vendors and inquire new supplier relationships
  • You’ll ensure security of supply considering quality- and sustainability-aspects
  • Ensuring business wide compliance with all sourcing activities and accurate reporting on products and services procured is a matter of course to you
  • Additionally you’ll prepare diverse analyses, reports, and presentation documents and consult on market, supplier, and price analyses
     

Your profile

The requirements of the role include:

  • You have a university degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Technology, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration
  • You possess several years of work experience in supply chain technology, procurement and/or supply chain consultancy 
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and German (C1 level)
  • As expert you have a deep understanding of and involvement in strategic negotiations
  • You have strong commercial and contract acumen
  • You have an analytical, structured, and results-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with a high level of assertiveness are your strong parts
  • You have an understanding of supply chain technologies (e.g. warehouse automation)
  • You are confident using MS Office  
  • You have a structured and solution-oriented working style
  • You are a self-starter with an innovative mindset

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 74,500
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualification
