How You'll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

As a Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and optimisation of ALDI’s freight procurement
Your tasks include performing research, preparing and managing tenders, and following up on contract negotiations
You are involved in conducting market analyses to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
Collaborating with international suppliers and all ALDI SOUTH countries worldwide is part of your role
You maintain and control records according to deadlines, ensuring that information in all systems isbupdated and accurate at all times
You act as contact person for developing existing and building new supplier relationships
Additionally, you investigate and document existing business processes and propose overarching strategies
Drafting and editing contracts and presentation documents also belong to your responsibilities

The requirements of the role include:

You have several years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within freight, logistics, or supply chain management
You have completed a university degree or commercial training
You bring experience in tendering and contracting processes, including working with Transporeon, SAP Transportation Management, and SAP Ariba, as well as collaborating with external suppliers and consultants
Understanding freight cost structures, logistics networks, and sustainability initiatives within supply chain management is part of your expertise
You feel comfortable working independently and taking accountability for your results
You are confident using MS Office
Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is particularly advantageous
Attention to detail and a structured mindset is a matter of course for you
