How You'll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As a Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and optimisation of ALDI’s freight procurement
- Your tasks include performing research, preparing and managing tenders, and following up on contract negotiations
- You are involved in conducting market analyses to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Collaborating with international suppliers and all ALDI SOUTH countries worldwide is part of your role
- You maintain and control records according to deadlines, ensuring that information in all systems isbupdated and accurate at all times
- You act as contact person for developing existing and building new supplier relationships
- Additionally, you investigate and document existing business processes and propose overarching strategies
- Drafting and editing contracts and presentation documents also belong to your responsibilities
Your Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- You have several years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within freight, logistics, or supply chain management
- You have completed a university degree or commercial training
- You bring experience in tendering and contracting processes, including working with Transporeon, SAP Transportation Management, and SAP Ariba, as well as collaborating with external suppliers and consultants
- Understanding freight cost structures, logistics networks, and sustainability initiatives within supply chain management is part of your expertise
- You feel comfortable working independently and taking accountability for your results
- You are confident using MS Office
- Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is particularly advantageous
- Attention to detail and a structured mindset is a matter of course for you
